It is beyond me why this place wasn’t more packed. I always like to get a burger for the first time, and this might have been one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It was cooked to my liking, not only juicy but had a beautiful crunch to the outside that held in the flavor. The meat was excellent. The bun was even AMAZING—Fluffy and such a delicate light flavor that was so so good. I ate the whole thing! I got the seasonal vegetables instead of the potato fries, which consisted of roasted carrots, (that were amazingly juicy and tender). - Everything was seasoned so well. - The broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini were packed flavor in a way that wasn’t too overwhelming, but delicious. The potato fries were SO good too!! Crunch on the outside and moist on the inside. Cooked so well and seasoned to perfection. Both were amazing. The Oak Chalet in Bellmore not only had kind waitstaff who took good care of our table, kept our drinks replenished and us comfortable. The DELICIOUS food and great, cozy atmosphere that made you feel at home will definitely bring us back again.. (I mean look how cute the detail in the chairs even are in the backs with hearts!!) so cozy and oh so sweet! It should never be a place to have been so empty!

Oak Chalet is my favorite restaurant in Nassau county. The food is always delicious and the staff are the most wonderful people I've ever met. I've tried every single item on the menu and there's nothing I don't absolutely love. Bring your family and friends. It's especially a treat during Oktoberfest and everyone sings along with the accordionist.

My first time eating German food so I didn't know what anything on the menu was and the server explained everything well. Delicious jaegar schnitzel, so well seasoned with rich mushroom sauce. The environment here is so cozy, no music and everyone was speaking softly and I really appreciated the quiet environment. Cute decor feels like a grandparents house or something

I had a great experience at Oak Chalet in Bellmore. The food was fresh and delicious. I started with the escargot appetizer and the giant pretzel, which came out super hot and soft - both were amazing! For my main course, the steak was cooked perfectly and the potato pancakes were an excellent side dish. The service was great, the atmosphere was really nice, and the dining area and great bar made for a wonderful evening. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, always going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Definitely recommend Oak Chalet!

We really enjoyed our time there. Satisfied our craving for German food in a very wonderful atmosphere. German music playing in the outside dining area, but sadly not German music inside. Something else playing which was strange. The Weiss beer was really good and our waiter was fantastic.

Great place for German dishes and German atmosphere. The service was prompt and helpful. We found our meals less heavy than other German restaurants we've tried and we really enjoyed it. Prices are a little above moderate but well worth it. The ambiance at Christmas was wonderful, but it's nicely decorated year round. Good for both couples and larger groups.

A nice alternative option for authentic German food in Long Island. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of parking available. Lovely atmosphere in a rustic oak chalet building, hence the name. There's also outdoor/beer garden like seating Food was delicious and great service. Includes typical German fare such as a variety of wurst, schnitzel and Sauerbraten. The Bavarian pretzel was huge and hot out of the oven.

Excellent German food with additional non German food choices. We had the goulash soup, Bavarian pretzel which was fresh and hot, jagerschnitzel and weinerschnitzel. Everything was well prepared and very tasty. The portions were generous.
